2014 Dodge Durango Gets a Transmission and Efficiency Boost

Without question, the new Dodge lineup has generated a lot of buzz here in 2013. The people here at Barry Sanders Superstore would like to discuss a model that is being talked about by critics and consumers across the state of Oklahoma, the 2014 Dodge Durango. Following its unveiling at the 2013 New York International Auto Show in March, the folks at Barry Sanders Superstore learned a lot more about this covenant SUV.

Dodge reported that this model will hit the assembly line at the start of Q3 (July, 2013). What's new about the 2014 Durango? It features a new grille that is interchangeable, depending on which trim level you get; and there are five. The five trim levels of the Dodge Durango include the SXT, Rallye, Limited, R/T, and Citadel. Similar to the Dodge Dart and Charger, the Durango gets new taillights, featuring the new distinctive Dodge style.

Dodge also made a number of changes to the drivetrain and transmission. More specifically, you will find an eight-speed transmission on the 2014 Dodge Durango. While Dodge has mentioned this will give the SUV a 8% boost in fuel economy, the official numbers have not been released yet. Currently the Durango gets 19 mpg on the highway, so you can expect the 2014 model to exceed that by roughly 8%.

We expect more details surrounding performance and efficiency to come out over the next few months. And the team at Barry Sanders Supercenter will do their best to keep you informed! If you cannot wait for the 2014 Durango to  hit our Dodge showroom, feel free to head over to 4120 W 6th Ave in Stillwater, OK to see what we are currently offering.
